Precious Cargo Psychology was founded by Dr. Chris Sbaratta, a licensed and board-certified psychologist who specializes in psychological evaluation and risk management services. 

Dr. Sbaratta has both professional and personal experience with gestational surrogacy. He is a grateful father of two. He is an active member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM), Mental Health Professional Group and is a licensed psychologist in multiple states.

Board Certified in Police and Public Safety Psychology, Dr. Sbaratta is expert in providing psychological services to law enforcement and other public safety agencies. His assessment, consultation and intervention services help to ensure that individuals working under high stress positions of public trust perform their jobs safely and effectively. He also conducts psychological evaluations and other risk management services for reality television candidates and consults with the legal divisions of major networks to ensure a ‘good fit’ between the demands of TV shows and their hopeful participants. He has also worked as a consultant for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) performing psychological evaluations of pilots and air traffic controllers.

Precious Cargo Psychology (PCP) was born out of a need for more comprehensive and individualized psychological services within third-party reproduction. PCP believes that the mental and emotional complexity of family building thorough collaborative pregnancy can be tremendous. Not only do these activities remain taboo in most countries and cultures, but they also exist within a continuously evolving legal-medical landscape.
